Restorative Yoga is an excellent way to
* introduce yourself to Yoga
* deepen your practice
* heal past and present injuries
Restorative Yoga is active with the breath, passive with the body
Using the breath as an anchor, class consists of a gentle warm-up for the spine, followed by 3-5 postures that are held for 5-12 minutes each.
We use many props to support proper alignment, allowing the body to relax while we focus on breathing and receive the healing benefits of various yoga positions. Benefits of this style of yoga include deep relaxation, hip-opening, improved digestion, relief of pain, improved visualization, and clearer thinking.
All levels welcome.
Great for prenatal yogis.
